Privacy policy.

This policy describes how PrecipiceTechnology LLC( “Precipice,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information when you visit precipicetechnology.com or contact us about managed IT services.

Last updated September 1, 2026.

Overview

PrecipiceTechnology LLC operates a marketing website for managed IT services across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. We collect only the information needed to respond to inquiries, protect the site from abuse, and operate our business.

This policy applies to visitors and prospective clients who use our public website. If you become a Precipice client, separate contract terms and data handling agreements govern how we manage your organization’s systems and data.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use this website to collect protected health information (PHI) from clinical systems.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use our contact form, we collect the fields you submit, which may include:

  • Name, job title, and company
  • Email address and phone number
  • Industry, organization size, and inquiry topic
  • Message content you choose to send

If you email or call us directly, we retain the contact details and message content needed to respond and follow up.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may process standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and request timestamps) for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.

When Turnstile bot protection is enabled on the contact form, Cloudflare may process technical signals (such as IP address and browser characteristics) to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We do not currently use analytics cookies or advertising pixels on this site.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule conversations
  • Evaluate fit for managed IT, security, or related services
  • Maintain records of sales and partnership communications
  • Protect the website from spam, fraud, and abuse
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our rights

We may send follow-up messages related to an inquiry you initiated. We do not send unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis and an easy way to opt out.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the website and respond to inquiries, and only as needed for those purposes. Current categories include:

  • Hosting and infrastructure for serving the website and application
  • Email delivery for routing contact form submissions (for example, Microsoft 365 / Graph or SMTP)
  • Security verification through Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form when enabled

These providers process data on our instructions and under contractual or terms of service obligations. We do not share contact form submissions with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Retention

We retain inquiry records for as long as needed to respond, evaluate business opportunities, maintain reasonable business records, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where practical.

Server logs are retained for a limited period consistent with security and troubleshooting needs.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are an existing client with a security incident involving systems we manage, use the emergency contact path in your service agreement rather than the public contact form.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights.

To make a request, contact us at contact@precipicetechnology.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights permitted by law.

You may opt out of non-essential follow-up email by replying “unsubscribe” or asking us to stop.

Children

Our website and services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
